Mana Man

No surprises for today's word, after I've declared myself "manichean" on Facebook, with a due link to clarify my position, and after revealing the "mystery" to Fowl Marker (who seemed to completely ignore its meaning) just yesterday afternoon:

mana \MAH-nuh\, noun:1. A generalized, supernatural force or power, which may be concentrated in objects or persons.2. An ancient kingdom in Iran, in Kurdistan.

Yea, I AM mana; yet, by the way, I didn't know about the Iranian kingdom. Today's word is:

teem \TEEM\, verb:1. To abound or swarm; be prolific or fertile.2. To empty or pour out; discharge.

There's a phrase of the week, too:

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing

meaning that "A small amount of knowledge can mislead people into thinking that they are more expert than they really are"...

All you have to know about Mana is that it does exist; most Western-(un)civilized people just don't have the littlest clue of what it is, even though the very word -as Manitou, Prana, Tao, etc., etc.- has always been considered the principle of life itself in most of the ancient (real) civilizations around the world, and it still is where the Tradition is alive.

Our "tradition", like anything else down here, is just a word.

In the meantime I'm translating "Fuoco di carta" into "Paper fire". That's a lot of words, but with a little mana in it.
