And I know, it might be somewhat weird to read more than a word or phrase written this way, yet the IPA code is the only kind of an "alphabet" - a code table of graphic signs- to allow non-english people in the world to read the language the same way it's written, the same way they could tell it. Like we all naive Italians use to.
So this is the idea: to write a story in phonetic signs, instead of thy plaine, olde English; the only recent idea that stumbled across my mind recently is about a bunch -literally- of amputees living on the shore of a sea full of floating tree trunks; they live in a sort of coral-like system, like a human reef where they're always together, very close one to each others in a kind of symbiosis, harvesting, eating, sleeping, having sex without reproductive capacities. Any and all of these people are lacking some limbs; eyes, ears, noses, (hair!) fingers, toes, feet, hands, arms, legs, any internal organs, eventually heads. For some reason, they decide to send an exploration party somewhere out of the reef's boundaries, and in order to do it they have to put together a team with all of the abilities of a single human being. I don't know the rest of the story.
Since I'll happen to write the thing, sooner or later, I'm about to collect the knowledge and tools to render it in this "universal" code that is called IPA.
And the first instrument should be a different version of the Oxford Advanced Genie with a phonetic spelling of each word, unlike the one I'm currenly using on this PC. Let's see, the download has finished right now.
