Filmin Out

Yesterday I've seen 2 other Linkater's movies: Fast Food Nation and School of Rock. Even though the first is a very good movie, and a very sad one, and the other possibly the greatest kids hyper in the history of cinema (apart Bad New Bears, which by chance has been remaked by the same author) none of them compares to the simple and true filmic beauty of Before sunrise.
So the quest goes on, since I can't believe the mind that gave birth to such things as Slacker and Waking Life can express itself at its very best in a romance; the only way to find out if that is the horrible truth is to watch his following works. All of them.
In the meantime, I have to confess I've seen this tonight:

by R. Fleischer (2009)

It seems that watching pirate movies that still have to be released in theaters brings a damn bad luck to the audience, which takes place in the movie itself; Up was total crap, but this one is way worse. Two things run smooth here: the main titles in ultra-slo-mo (like the one above) and the ultra-tex accent of Woody Harrelson, who sounds to be much like a Matthew McConaughey

By chance?

If you like fun, gore, action, romance, good music... just avoid this movie like the plague.
It's a waste of time even to run it down.
